Danilo withdrawn from Brazil national team due to injury
Brazilian midfielder Danilo has been withdrawn from the national team ahead of upcoming friendly matches against Japan and Singapore in November. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the decision following a grade 2 muscle injury in his right adductor.
As a result of the injury, Danilo will also miss Botafogo’s upcoming matches, including a crucial Brasileirão fixture against Atlético-MG. The CBF stated that no replacement will be called up for the squad, leaving the team with one fewer player for the international window.
Botafogo is reportedly working toward having the 25-year-old midfielder available for their match against Corinthians on November 18. Danilo, who joined the club from Nottingham Forest, has been a key performer this season, contributing 13 goals in 39 matches.
