Danilovgrad Municipality implements five EU-funded projects

Danilovgrad EU funds European projects cross-border cooperation climate adaptation

Danilovgrad Municipality is currently implementing five European-funded projects aimed at improving local quality of life and regional development. Bojan Pavićević, Vice President of the Municipality, stated that the administration is also preparing new applications worth over half a million euros.

The active projects include:

• DISCOVER: A cross-border cooperation project between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro focused on tourism, with a budget of 142,000 euros (112,000 from the EU). • PRIMES: An IPA ADRION program project addressing drought resilience and water management, with a budget of 101,967 euros (86,671.95 from the EU). • Naturally Local: An Interreg Europe project for climate change adaptation, with a budget of 106,400 euros (85,120 from the EU). • ZetRest: A Horizon Europe project for the sustainable restoration of the Zeta river floodplain, with a budget of 75,000 euros. • GENTLE: A CERV program project focused on cultural heritage and active citizenship.

The municipality's EU projects office operates within the Secretariat for Economy and Economic Development, led by Acting Secretary Igor Vojinović. Pavićević emphasized the goal of strengthening human capacity to ensure readiness for Montenegro's eventual accession to the European Union.
