Danish families face rising everyday stress

A study conducted by YouGov on behalf of the insurance company If reveals that nearly one in four Danish families struggle with everyday stress that negatively impacts their well-being. The pressure of balancing work, school, sports, and social commitments is particularly acute for families with young children aged 0–6, where 27 percent report that daily obligations affect their family's well-being.

Regional data shows the impact is widespread, with 27 percent of families in Region Sjælland, 25 percent in Region Syddanmark, and 24 percent in the Capital Region reporting similar struggles. Experts from Dansk Sundhedssikring, owned by If, note that long-term pressure increases the risk of stress and anxiety for both parents and children, advising families to reduce expectations and avoid over-scheduling activities.
