Danish handball players and coaches secure key victories in Europe

In European handball, Jesper Jensen’s Ferencváros secured a 24-23 victory over CSM Bukarest in the Champions League. The match featured a coaching duel between Jensen and Bojana Popovic. Danish goalkeeper Anna Kristensen played a pivotal role with several key saves, including stopping shots from Emma Friis and Anne Mette Hansen. Although CSM Bukarest managed to equalize at 23-23 in the final minute, Petra Simon scored the winning goal with only five seconds remaining, keeping Ferencváros undefeated in the competition.

In the German Bundesliga, SG Flensburg-Handewitt defeated FRISCH AUF! Göppingen 32-27. Following a close first half of 18-17, Flensburg pulled away in the second half with a 14-10 scoreline. Danish player Simon Pytlick led the performance for Flensburg with eight goals and four assists, while Emil Jakobsen contributed six goals.
