Danish motorists report top traffic irritants in new survey

A new survey conducted by YouGov for Gjensidige reveals the primary sources of frustration for Danish motorists. According to the study, two out of three drivers are irritated by other motorists who fail to maintain sufficient distance from the vehicle in front.

Other major irritants include drivers who are inattentive while driving—such as those focusing on GPS or mobile phones—and those who neglect to use turn signals. Lene Rasmussen, claims director at Gjensidige, noted that these behaviors make it difficult to predict other drivers' actions, reducing reaction time during dangerous situations.

Additional frustrations cited by drivers include motorists staying in the outer lane, overtaking without proper procedure, and failing to follow rules during merging. Experts advise drivers to remain calm and avoid retaliatory actions like honking or risky overtaking when provoked.
