Danish municipalities host community meetings on forestry and housing
Local authorities in Denmark are hosting community engagement events regarding environmental and urban development.
In Thisted Municipality, a themed day is scheduled for October 25 to discuss the future of forests in the Thy region. As part of the green transition, more forest will be planted in the coming years, impacting nature, climate, and local development. The event will feature presentations from researchers and experts, including representatives from the University of Copenhagen and the Climate Forest Fund, to discuss biodiversity and landscape changes.
In Kolding, Boligselskabet Kolding is holding an information meeting on October 20 regarding the redevelopment of the Æblelunden residential area. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2029, involves transforming the area to include 318 homes, down from the current 474. The new development will feature various housing types, including senior living communities, townhouses, youth housing, and accessible apartments, alongside new green spaces.
