Danish municipalities launch initiatives to support business and vocational training

Frederikssund Municipality, Dansk Industri, and Frederikssund Erhverv have met to coordinate efforts to improve business friendliness. According to Mayor Anne Sofie Uhrskov, the 2027 budget includes several initiatives such as reducing building permit processing times, allocating more resources to wastewater planning, extending unmanned hours at recycling centers, and funding urban life and energy partnerships.

In Skive Municipality, a new partnership agreement for vocational education has been signed for the 2026–2029 period. The agreement involves local educational institutions, employer organizations, and unions. It aims to increase the number of young people and adults completing vocational training and securing apprenticeships in technical, social, and mercantile sectors. A key component is a joint hotline to assist students who have completed basic training but have not yet secured an apprenticeship.
