Danish police detain teenagers for fraud and arrest two men for burglaries

Two teenage girls and a young man were taken into custody on suspicion of committing fraud, according to Danish authorities.

Southeast Jutland Police arrested an 18‑year‑old from Høje‑Tåstrup and a 20‑year‑old from Horsens in Brædstrup. Both are charged with four burglaries and an attempted burglary, including theft of jewellery, cash and a tablet, and are also linked to two break‑in cases in North Zealand.

In a separate case, a 29‑year‑old man was indicted for psychological violence and several counts of physical assault against his former partner, with incidents reported in Copenhagen, Middelfart and Fredericia. The allegations describe economic control, threats, confinement and physical attacks that caused breathing difficulties.

Additionally, Jeroen Schotemeijer, chair of Vorbasse Market, announced he will not seek re‑election after being diagnosed with cancer, stepping down later this year to focus on treatment.
