Danish police drama “The Uniform” debuts on Filmin

The six‑episode Danish series “The Uniform” (original title “Uniformen”) premiered on Filmin on 28 July 2026. Set in the Copenhagen Police Academy, the drama follows Sanne Hammerby, played by Lene Maria Christensen, as she becomes the first woman to direct the academy. Hammerby must balance personal challenges—including a strained marriage with fellow officer Martin (Jakob Cedergren) and a lingering trauma—with the resistance of senior instructors to her leadership.

Created by Anders Frithiof August and Oscar Dyekjær Giese, directed by Jonas Alexander Arnby, and produced by Denmark’s public broadcaster DR together with Miso Film, the series explores how the police uniform transforms ordinary people. It tackles themes such as loyalty, corruption, racism and media pressure while following cadets like Freja, Liv, Youssef Elamin and Daniel as they navigate the demanding training environment.
