Danish police investigate dangerous overtaking incident

Police in South Zealand and Lolland-Falster are investigating a dangerous overtaking incident captured on dashcam footage. The video shows a company van performing a high-speed overtake of a heavy truck on Slagelse Landevej, passing with only a few centimeters of clearance.

Truck driver Poul Jensen, who was driving the vehicle at the time, described the maneuver as ‘completely insane’ and noted that the driver likely would not have survived if a collision had occurred. Police Commissioner Søren Skotte stated that authorities are analyzing the footage to determine if there are grounds for criminal charges, noting that while similar incidents occur, this specific case is particularly extreme.
