Danko Flores Cid placed in preventive detention for alleged drug trafficking

Danko Flores Cid, son of comedian Mauricio Flores, has been placed in preventive detention following his arrest in northern Chile. Authorities from the Customs service detected approximately 18 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a compartment behind the dashboard of his vehicle during a scan at a control point in Quillagua, Tarapacá Region.

The drugs were reportedly destined for Santiago. Following a formalization hearing at the Pozo Almonte Guarantee Court, the judge granted the prosecution's request for preventive detention, setting a 120-day period for the ongoing investigation. Authorities are currently working to analyze the suspect's mobile phone to determine the logistics of the transport and identify potential accomplices.
