Danna Yanina receives modified medical treatment for emotional distress

Danna Yanina, a student from the Academia Militarizada Doenitz facing legal proceedings regarding the death of her classmate Dafne, has undergone a medical evaluation in Tampico due to deteriorating emotional health.

Her family reported that she has experienced increased episodes of anxiety, depression, and difficulty sleeping while held at the Centro de Ejecución de Sanciones (CEDES). During a recent transfer to a public health institution, Yanina reportedly suffered a nervous breakdown. Family member Ofir Cruz Melo noted that the psychological department at the detention center detected signs of traumatic adaptation following her incarceration.

Medical professionals have modified her treatment, adjusting her medication to include two controlled substances to address her mental health and sleep issues. The family has requested that authorities ensure specialized medical and psychological care continues within the CEDES facility.
