Danny Buchan to return to BSB racing at Cadwell Park

Danny Buchan is set to make a surprise return to the British Superbike Championship (BSB) this weekend at Cadwell Park. The former two-time National Superstock champion, who retired at the end of the 2024 season, will ride for the MET fonaCAB Racing Ducati team.

Buchan steps in to replace Andrew Irwin, who has been sidelined since sustaining a broken right humerus at a test in Knockhill. Buchan succeeds Graeme Irwin, who had been filling the seat during Andrew's recovery.

Having transitioned into a punditry and commentary role for TNT Sports following his retirement, Buchan noted that the opportunity arose after a conversation with Andrew Irwin. Buchan expressed enthusiasm for the return, citing the unreal speed of the Ducati machinery, though he maintained low expectations given the high level of competition and his two-year absence from BSB Superbike racing.
