Dansa València launches artistic residencies in ten municipalities

The fifth edition of ‘Impuls a la Dansa’, an initiative by the Dansa València festival, is conducting artistic residencies, mediation actions, and professional training across ten municipalities in the Valencian Community through December. Organized by the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Universidades via the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC), the program aims to decentralize contemporary creation and link it to local social fabrics in the provinces of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia.

Key projects include Cia. Marroch in Villajoyosa, which will explore human intimacy through the piece ‘El dilema del puercoespín’ in October. In Dénia, Irene de la Rosa’s ‘Antoñita’ project integrates sign language and flamenco through research with the deaf community. In Castellón de la Plana, Vicent Gisbert utilized the Paranimf of Universitat Jaume I for a technical stay involving dance, live sound, and technology. Other participating municipalities include Almassora, el Genovés, Puçol, Aielo de Malferit, Alboraia, Benicàssim, and Picassent.
