Dansk Folkeparti faces organizational collapse in Tønder
The Danish People's Party (Dansk Folkeparti) is facing a significant organizational collapse in Tønder. Following a period of internal unrest, the local branch's entire board has resigned, leaving the association without leadership and forcing the cancellation of all planned activities.
The crisis follows the departure of municipal council members Allan Svendsen and Pernille Mai Brylle, who left the party to become independents following a conflict regarding election posters. Additionally, the party has moved to exclude local chair Karin Lildballe and deputy Ulla Oksen. The party's national organization has characterized the conflict as a non-political matter, though reports indicate internal friction and personal disputes among members.
As a result of these departures and expulsions, the party's representation in the Tønder Municipal Council has been reduced from three members to just one, Mads-Magnus Damm.
