Nordhavn social housing: 50 new units planned for Sundmolen

Boligforeningen VIBO and By & Havn have reached an agreement to develop 50 new social housing units at Sundmolen in Nordhavn. The project, named ‘Kajkanten’, will serve as a co-living community designed to accommodate a diverse demographic, including youth, families, singles, and seniors.

This development marks the first time social housing associations have secured access to the waterfront in this area, offering residents direct views of the water. The project emphasizes community through shared facilities such as a communal kitchen, dining hall, workshop, playrooms, and shared workspaces. The construction is expected to begin in 2028, with residents projected to move in during 2029. The development will utilize sustainable materials, including wood and recycled components, and feature green roof terraces and courtyards.
