Dante Sealy traded from Colorado Rapids back to CF Montreal

The Colorado Rapids have traded forward Dante Sealy back to CF Montreal. The deal involves $1.4 million in guaranteed General Allocation Money (GAM), with an additional $300,000 in performance-based incentives.

Sealy, a 23-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international, originally joined the Rapids from Montreal in December for $1.9 million in GAM plus $600,000 in incentives. During his tenure with Colorado, Sealy recorded one goal and five assists in MLS play, along with one goal in the U.S. Open Cup.

Montreal Managing Director Luca Saputo stated that Sealy’s familiarity with the club’s culture and his ability to play multiple positions will allow for a seamless integration and provide depth to the roster. Rapids president Padraig Smith expressed well wishes for Sealy’s future career following the move.
