D'Anton Lynn named Penn State defensive coordinator

D'Anton Lynn has returned to Penn State as the new defensive coordinator for the Nittany Lions. A former three-year starter for the program from 2009 to 2011, Lynn previously served as an assistant coach in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and held defensive coordinator roles at UCLA and Southern California.

Head coach Matt Campbell praised Lynn as a great communicator and teacher, noting his ability to build strong relationships with players. Lynn expressed a desire to instill pride in his defensive unit, which he expects to be a versatile and formidable group. The defense will see the return of star linebacker Tony Rojas and edge rusher Max Granville from injury.
