Danube waterspout captured near Ráckeve
A rare natural phenomenon was captured near Ráckeve on the Danube, where a dust devil transitioned into a waterspout upon reaching the river surface.
The footage was recorded by Péter Tóth, a staff member of Pilisi Parkerdő, who was originally using a drone to document the river's exceptionally low water levels. As the swirling dust devil moved toward the water, it picked up droplets from the surface, creating a short-lived waterspout. The observer noted that the falling water created a sound similar to a fountain in the middle of the river, leaving visible ripples on the surface after it dissipated.
