Danylo Sikan finds form with Anderlecht after injury

Ukrainian striker Danylo Sikan has seen a resurgence in form with Anderlecht following a difficult period marked by injury. After transferring from Trabzonspor for approximately 4 million euros, Sikan struggled to meet expectations due to an adductor injury that required surgery.

Sikan has recently become a key figure in Anderlecht’s UEFA Europa League qualifying campaign, scoring three goals in four matches. His contributions were vital in securing progression against Hammarby, where he scored both a free kick and a crucial equalizer, as well as in the decisive match against PAOK.

Reflecting on his progress, Sikan admitted that his start in Belgium was not as expected but expressed satisfaction with his current level. While he remains a starter in European competitions, he was recently rested during a Belgian League match against RAAL to manage his workload amid a dense fixture schedule.
