DAO fires courier after private mail found discarded

A mail delivery worker has been dismissed following repeated incidents of mishandling private correspondence in Favrskov Municipality.

Michael Christensen and his neighbors reported finding private letters discarded in a plastic advertising tube located approximately one kilometer away from their actual addresses. This follows a previous incident in May, where Christensen discovered a pile of private letters for residents in Skanderborg Municipality in a recycling container in Hvorslev.

Christensen expressed frustration over the recurring lack of care regarding sensitive information. The distribution company, DAO, has characterized the incident as a clear violation of regulations and confirmed that the courier responsible has been fired.
