Daphne Karavokyri recounts hypnotherapy experience
Journalist Daphne Karavokyri has shared her personal experience undergoing hypnotherapy with Naso Komnianos, a practitioner who has been linked to the case involving the death of Giorgos Mazonakis. Speaking on ERT, Karavokyri detailed her session, which took place in 2018 as part of a VICE investigation into alternative therapies in Greece.
During the session, Karavokyri described a state of deep relaxation where she lost control of her limbs and was unable to speak, though she remained aware of her surroundings and could hear instructions. She noted that the process felt similar to scenes depicted in films. The investigation aimed to understand why individuals facing serious health issues often turn to practices outside of conventional medicine, seeking something beyond standard medical studies.
The journalist also highlighted the sensitivity of such sessions, noting that personal data expressed without conscious control during hypnosis requires careful handling and editing.
