DARA releases new English-language single Bad Idea

Bulgarian singer DARA has released her new English-language single, “Bad Idea,” marking the beginning of a new musical chapter following her historic Eurovision Song Contest victory with “Bangaranga.” The track is an energetic pop song with electronic influences and a fast dance rhythm.

“Bad Idea” serves as a preview for her first full-length English-language album, which is scheduled for release in 2027. The singer described the project as having a more electronic sound compared to her previous pop work, intended for listeners who want to dance and release tension.

The single was written by DARA alongside Victor Thell, Linnea NEA Södahl, and Twan Ray, with production by Thell and Ray. The recording process took place in Sweden, while the music video production was organized in Sofia. DARA noted that while the lyrics are flirtatious, the vocal performance carries a different emotional weight.
