Darden Restaurants reports $3.2 billion in Q1 sales

Darden Restaurants reported $3.2 billion in sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, marking a 5.1% year-over-year increase. The Orlando-based operator saw positive same-restaurant sales across all operating segments, with consolidated same-restaurant sales increasing 3.1% on a fiscal-calendar basis.

Key segment performance included LongHorn Steakhouse, which recorded $860.9 million in quarterly sales and 6.2% comparable-sales growth. Olive Garden remained the company’s largest business by sales, generating approximately $1.33 billion in quarterly revenue. The company’s fine dining segment also contributed to the overall results.

Darden reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 financial outlook, projecting diluted net earnings from continuing operations of $11.10 to $11.35 per share. The company continues to focus on capital returns through dividends and aggressive share buybacks, which reduced the total share count by 2.7% as of Q1 FY2027.
