Daria Berenato discusses WWE departure and move to TNA
Daria Berenato, formerly known in WWE as Sonya Deville, has opened up about her departure from the company in February 2025 after a ten-year tenure. Berenato expressed that the transition was emotionally difficult, describing the loss of her long-standing routine and professional identity as a period of mourning.
Berenato noted that she felt “broken down” and “stagnant” due to the repetitive nature of the industry and internal company politics. Despite the personal difficulty of the exit, she stated that leaving was a necessary “wake-up call” that allowed her to find a fresh start.
Since leaving WWE, Berenato has transitioned to TNA, where she serves as the Director of Operations. In her current role, she focuses on executive and enforcement responsibilities rather than active wrestling.
