Dario Brizuela criticizes FIBA officiating after Spain loss to Greece

Spanish guard Dario Brizuela has heavily criticized FIBA officiating following Spain's overtime loss to Greece at the Telekom Center in Athens. Brizuela described the refereeing as “deliberately bad” and called for FIBA to investigate the performance of the officiating crew.

Brizuela specifically highlighted a controversial unsportsmanlike foul called against Antai Mara, arguing that video footage shows contact on the shoulder rather than the face. He also noted that a subsequent clear unsportsmanlike foul during the final moments of the game was not reviewed, suggesting that a review would have resulted in a different call.

Furthermore, the Spanish player expressed frustration regarding post-game procedures, claiming the team was prevented from signing the scoresheet, which officials allegedly attributed to a delay in timing.
