Dario Fo works to be exhibited at Castello Malatestiano
Two previously unexposed works by Dario Fo will be displayed at the Fondazione Tito Balestra within the Castello Malatestiano in Longiano, starting November 3. The pieces are part of the private Cocif collection and are being presented to honor the artist on the centenary of his birth.
The exhibition is part of “L’Arte celata. La collezione Cocif,” curated by Claudio Spadoni, which is held in the former Madonna di Loreto church. This exhibition features works by artists including Giorgio de Chirico, Carlo Carrà, Felice Casorati, and Antonio Ligabue. Due to high attendance, which has already exceeded 2,000 visitors, the exhibition has been extended until January 17, 2027.
The display also highlights the historical connection between Fo and the Cocif cooperative, which hosted a performance by Fo and Franca Rame in 1977. A catalog presentation is scheduled for November 21 at the Sala dell’Arengo, featuring curator Claudio Spadoni, Cocif president Luigi Marconi, and Fondazione Tito Balestra director Flaminio Balestra.
