Dario Impellizzeri appointed Director of Caritas Acireale

Monsignor Antonino Raspanti, the Bishop of Acireale, has appointed Father Dario Impellizzeri as the new Director of the Diocesan Caritas. Impellizzeri, 27, was ordained a priest on October 15, 2024.

Impellizzeri previously gained pastoral experience at the Missione Speranza e Carità in Palermo, founded by Brother Biagio Conte. He stated that the mission of the Diocesan Caritas should not be viewed merely as an assistance agency, but as a central part of a Church that remains close to its people through listening, youth involvement, and community reintegration.

The Bishop expressed gratitude to the outgoing director, Father Orazio Tornabene, for his service to the Church of Acireale.
