Dariusz Klimczak named Man of the Year 2026 by Economic Forum

Dariusz Klimczak, Poland's Minister of Infrastructure, has been named the ‘Man of the Year 2026’ by the Economic Forum in Karpacz. The award recognizes his role in the successive implementation of national development plans and his contribution to the Polish economy.

During the ceremony, Professor Andrzej Szarata of the Krakow University of Technology noted that a record 103 billion PLN is allocated for road investments in 2027. Additionally, the transport sector is seeing significant growth, with PKP Intercity expected to reach approximately 100 million passengers this year.

The selection of Klimczak marks a shift in the award's history. While the title has previously been granted to high-profile political leaders and heads of state, the current trend suggests a move toward recognizing pragmatic managers and those driving key economic sectors.
