Dariusz Mazurkiewicz resigns as CEO of Polish Standard of Payments (Blik)
Dariusz Mazurkiewicz submitted his resignation to the supervisory board of Polish Standard of Payments (PSP), the operator of the Blik mobile‑payment system. He had led the company since June 2017, after more than eleven years of involvement with PSP, including earlier roles as vice‑president and as head of SkyCash.
The board did not name a successor in the announcement and said a separate communication will follow. PSP chairman and PKO BP president Szymon Midera praised Mazurkiewicz for building value, noting that Blik is used by millions of customers and is a key player in the Polish payments market. The company reaffirmed its confidence in Blik’s future growth.
No reasons for the resignation were provided, and Mazurkiewicz expressed pride in his decade‑long contribution to the development of one of Europe’s most innovative digital payment systems.
