Dariusz Szpakowski to return to football commentary

Veteran sports journalist Dariusz Szpakowski is returning to live commentary after a 175-day hiatus from the microphone. He will provide commentary for the UEFA Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Szpakowski will be joined by Grzegorz Mielcarski for the broadcast on Telewizja Polska (TVP). Explaining his decision to move from studio expert roles back to live play-by-play, Szpakowski stated, “It is time to return to my roots, which is commentary.” He noted that the upcoming match serves as a personal test to see if he has “rusted” during his time away from the commentary booth.
