Darja Hajská, Czech actress, passes away

Czech actress Darja Hajská has passed away just two days before her 70th birthday. Born in Mladá Boleslav on March 20, 1911, she left behind a significant legacy of film and television roles.

Hajská was recognized for her memorable comedic performances, including roles such as the maid Růženka in ‘Přednosta stanice’ and Aunt Máňa Hujerová in ‘Marečku, podejte mi pero!’. Her career spanned decades, including work in silent films and various television series such as ‘30 případů majora Zemana’ and ‘Nemocnice na kraji města’.

In addition to her acting, she was a recipient of the ‘Vyznamenání Za vynikající práci’ and engaged in writing poetry, plays, and nursery rhymes.
