Dark Hollow trailer reveals Appalachian coal mine horror film

Brainstorm Media has released the official trailer for Dark Hollow, an indie horror thriller directed by Daniel Byers. The film follows a young mother, played by June Shreiner, who must hunt a monstrous creature that emerges from an Appalachian coal mine to protect her family.

The production utilizes practical effects for the creature rather than relying on CGI. Dark Hollow is scheduled for release in select U.S. theaters and on video-on-demand on September 4, 2026.
