Dark Machine the Animation set for October 2026 release

A new promotional trailer for the original animated series ‘Dark Machine the Animation’ has been released, confirming an October 2026 premiere date. The series is part of a larger multimedia project that includes a video game.

Set in a future where humanity lives within an energy bubble, the story follows global conflicts arising from the discovery of ‘Palmer crystals’—a source of immense energy. The plot involves the use of combat mecha and hyper-intelligent artificial intelligence to harness both energy and a mysterious negative force within the crystals.

The trailer features the opening theme ‘Sonzai Riyū Kai’ performed by the rock band BUCK-TICK. The production team includes director Kazuyuki Terada and creative producer Goro Taniguchi, with animation handled by Production +h. The voice cast includes Kenshō Onoda as Kairi, Miyuki Sawashiro as Rudora, and Kōki Uchiyama as Shinn, among others.
