Dark Souls II dataminer discovers massive unused colosseum levels
A dataminer named Doneda has discovered significant unused content from the early development stages of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls II. Using Elden Ring: Nightreign to load and explore the remnants, the discovery includes a massive colosseum zone, mines, a crypt section, and a mysterious underground tower that may have functioned as a series of arenas.
The findings suggest that some of these sections were part of a single connected area, while others appear to be different variations of the same concept. The discovery highlights the experimental nature of the game's development, which included changes to combat systems, lighting, and narrative elements. It remains unclear how this colosseum would have integrated into the final version of the game.
