A massive collection of stolen credentials has been discovered on the dark web, with cybersecurity media outlet ZATAZ reporting the discovery of over 1.7 billion password-email combinations, often referred to as ‘combos’. This volume represents a historic record for the outlet and suggests that individuals may be at significant risk due to intense phishing campaigns and previous data breaches.

Other recent cybersecurity findings include reports from the Proton Observatory regarding 306 million hacked accounts and the discovery of 2.3 million credit cards for sale on black markets. To mitigate these risks, experts suggest using dark web scanners to monitor for exposed personal information and secure affected accounts before exploitation occurs.
