Darko Mandić celebrates three years of winemaking in Opatija

Darko Mandić, the sole winemaker in Opatija, has marked his third anniversary of official winemaking. His establishment, Vina Mandić, operates as a small tasting room or wine communication point located in the ground floor of his family home on a main street in Opatija.

Mandić produces wine from well-known varieties, including Malvazija and Cabernet Franc, which he grows in vineyards he recently began leasing. His small, seven-square-meter stone space has received a Gault&Millau certificate and serves as a point of contact for the indigenous wines of the Kvarner region.
