Darline Graham agrees to debate Annie Andrews in South Carolina Senate race

U.S. Senator Darline Graham has agreed to debate her Democratic challenger, Dr. Annie Andrews, in an upcoming South Carolina Senate race. The debate is scheduled for October 11 and will be hosted by SCETV in Columbia.

The announcement follows weeks of public pressure from the Andrews campaign, which launched a dedicated website to track Graham’s response to debate invitations. While Graham has accepted the SCETV invitation, her campaign had previously expressed hesitation regarding other offers from outlets including FOX Carolina, WCBD, and WYFF.

Senator Graham stated on social media that she intends to use the stage to expose Andrews’ positions, while Andrews argued that voters deserve to see the candidates side-by-side to judge their preparedness for the role. The election is for the seat formerly held by the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
