Darline Graham faces Ralph Norman in South Carolina Senate runoff

Darline Graham, the interim senator appointed to fill the seat left vacant by her late brother, Lindsey Graham, will face Representative Ralph Norman in a Republican runoff election on August 25. Despite receiving Donald Trump’s endorsement and being a heavy favorite in prediction markets, Graham failed to secure more than 50% of the vote in the August 11 special primary, necessitating the runoff.

In Aiken County, Graham received 40.65% of the vote, while Norman received 17.09%. Other candidates in the crowded field included Representative Russell Fry, who earned 21.09% in the county, and former Governor Mark Sanford. Early voting for the upcoming runoff is scheduled for August 19 through August 21.
