Darline Graham Nordone leads Annie Andrews in South Carolina Senate poll
A new Trafalgar Group poll indicates that the U.S. Senate race in South Carolina is currently a virtual tie. Republican nominee Darline Graham Nordone holds a 1.1 percentage point lead over Democratic challenger Annie Andrews, with 43.4% support for Nordone compared to 42.3% for Andrews. This margin falls within the poll’s 2.9 percentage point margin of error.
Nordone, who was appointed to the seat in July to replace her late brother, Senator Lindsey Graham, secured the Republican nomination after defeating Representative Ralph Norman in an August runoff. The race remains competitive as some conservative supporters of Norman have organized a write-in campaign, potentially impacting Nordone’s support on the right. Meanwhile, Andrews has centered her campaign on affordability and gas prices.
