Darío Sztajnszrajber reflects on philosophy and the pursuit of happiness

Argentine philosopher Darío Sztajnszrajber discussed the nature of philosophy, happiness, and human fulfillment in a recent interview. Reflecting on the concept of realization, Sztajnszrajber noted that he never feels 100% fulfilled, viewing realization more as an internal vocational question rather than a final destination.

He referenced Plato’s definition of philosophy from 'The Banquet,' describing it as the pursuit of knowledge that one knows will never be fully attained. Sztajnszrajber emphasized that philosophy is driven by a desire for knowledge and the recovery of wonder, rather than just a response to crisis. He argued that while it is easy to practice philosophy during times of collapse, the true challenge lies in doing so when everything is functioning well.

Additionally, the philosopher touched upon the 'school of suspicion'—associated with thinkers like Freud, Marx, and Nietzsche—expressing his interest in using critical spirit to uncover different perspectives of reality and resist simply consuming reality as it is presented.
