Darren Aronofsky to receive Honor Award at Camerimage 2026

American filmmaker Darren Aronofsky will be honored with the Honor Award at the 34th edition of the Camerimage film festival. The event, which focuses on the art of cinematography and moving images, is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 14, 2026, in Poland.

The recognition celebrates Aronofsky’s distinct visual language and his ability to explore the limits of audiovisual expression. His body of work is noted for its intense psychological depth and unique formal choices, often utilizing tight camera work and rhythmic editing to depict themes of obsession, ambition, and human connection.

His career highlights include his debut film, Pi, which earned him Best Director at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as acclaimed works such as Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan, and The Whale.
