Darren Till eyes MMA return despite severe knee injuries

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till has expressed his desire to return to mixed martial arts (MMA) despite suffering from severe knee injuries. Till revealed that he currently has a torn ACL in one knee and a torn MCL in the other, noting that medical professionals have advised him against competing.

Till has not competed in MMA for nearly five years, having transitioned to boxing and bareknuckle boxing following his departure from the UFC. He noted that his previous struggles in the middleweight division were exacerbated by not being properly filled out for the weight class, which placed immense strain on his body. He plans to undergo surgery to address the ligament damage.

His immediate fighting schedule includes a bareknuckle bout against former UFC fighter Yoel Romero at BKFC 94, scheduled for September 26 in Manchester, England. Till indicated that his eventual return to the MMA cage will depend on his progress in boxing and bareknuckle disciplines over the next two years.
