Darryl Bakola shines at Sassuolo following Marseille departure

Darryl Bakola, the 18-year-old French midfielder formerly of Olympique de Marseille, is making a significant impact in Italy following his transfer to Sassuolo. After joining the club last winter for a fee reported between 10 and 12 million euros, Bakola has established himself as a key player under coach Alberto Aquilani.

Bakola recently delivered a standout performance in a 3-2 victory against Juventus, where he provided an assist to Kieron Bowie. His ability to influence the game has drawn praise from the Italian press and has led to reports that major clubs, including Juventus, are monitoring his progress. While reports suggested Juventus might consider him as a future option, analysts note that Sassuolo views him as an untouchable asset for their current project.

Since his arrival, Bakola has transitioned from a prospect into a consistent starter in Serie A, demonstrating tactical maturity and physical presence in a midfield rotation alongside players like Nemanja Matic.
