Darryl Kropp named BC Conservative candidate for Abbotsford-Mission
The Conservative Party of B.C. has announced Darryl Kropp as its candidate for the Abbotsford-Mission riding in the upcoming October 24 provincial election. Kropp, an executive at RedMane Technology and a long-time Abbotsford resident, succeeds the vacancy left by Reann Gasper.
Gasper, who previously won the seat in 2024, had expressed her intention to seek the nomination via social media. She had originally resigned as MLA to facilitate a run for former party leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay, but the subsequent byelection was cancelled when NDP leader David Eby dissolved the legislature, calling a province-wide election.
Kropp brings experience from Cascade Aerospace and has served on the board of First West Credit Union. The party highlighted his background in fiscal responsibility and organizational transformation as key assets for the campaign.
