Dartmouth Food Festival cancels outdoor events due to storm warning

Organisers of the Dartmouth Food Festival have cancelled several outdoor elements and exhibitors trading under canvas for Friday, October 23, following an amber weather warning for Storm Austen. The decision was made due to health and safety concerns regarding the potential risks posed by the storm.

Co-Chairs Suzie Sutton and Denise Brough stated that the priority is the safety and wellbeing of visitors, exhibitors, volunteers, and event teams. While no planned events, such as the Chef Demo theatre tent, will be rescheduled due to tight scheduling, some caterers have announced unofficial events to accommodate visitors.

Indoor events scheduled at the Flavel, Dartmouth Yacht Club, The Sail Loft, Browns Hotel, and the Flavel Church are expected to proceed as planned. Organisers indicated they are continuing to monitor the weather forecast but do not anticipate further changes.
