Daruvar receives over 7 million euros for school and dormitory upgrades
Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County is investing over 7 million euros into educational infrastructure in Daruvar. County Prefect Marko Marušić announced two major projects aimed at improving learning and living conditions for students.
The first project involves the renovation and expansion of the Frankopanska branch school, part of the Vladimir Nazor Elementary School, at a cost of 1.2 million euros. This expansion, which includes five new classrooms and a cafeteria, is intended to enable single-shift teaching starting from the next school year, facilitating better planning for families and staff.
The second major project is the construction of a new student dormitory valued at 6 million euros. Construction on the dormitory is nearing completion and is expected to significantly improve accommodation for students studying away from their homes. These initiatives are part of a larger 30 million euro investment cycle by the county to upgrade 11 schools and sports halls.
