Daryz retired after historic dual Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe wins

The champion racehorse Daryz has been retired from racing following his historic second victory in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp. Owned by Aga Khan Studs, the colt is the first to achieve back-to-back Arc victories in nearly half a century.

Daryz retires with a record of nine wins from twelve starts, including four Group 1 victories at the Prix Ganay, Prix d'Ispahan, and his two Arc titles. He will join the Aga Khan stallion roster, with potential stud locations including Haras de Bonneval in France or Gilltown Stud in Kildare, Ireland.

Trainer Francis-Henri Graffard described the horse as “truly exceptional,” noting his remarkable physique and acceleration. Jockey Mickael Barzalona, who rode Daryz in all nine of his victories, called him “a force of nature with an exceptional engine.”
