Daryz seeks historic consecutive Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe victory

The four-year-old horse Daryz is seeking a historic consecutive victory in the €5 million Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp. Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and ridden by jockey Mickael Barzalona, Daryz enters the race as a strong favorite following recent wins in the Prix Ganay, the Prix d’Ispahan, and the Prix Foy.

If successful, Daryz would become the first male horse to complete the Arc double in 50 years, a feat last achieved by Alleged in 1977 and 1978. While the Aga Khan Studs have seen previous winners, the racing management noted that no horse in their history has attempted this specific double. Daryz will start from barrier 5 in a field that includes several competitive three-year-olds.
