The film ‘Días de agosto’, directed by Chema de la Peña, is set to premiere in Madrid on Friday, August 14, 2026. This existentialist drama, written by David Sueiro, explores themes of family secrets, forbidden desires, and tension during a summer vacation.

Set in the coastal area of Mogán, Gran Canaria, the story follows Juan and Gabriela, who expect a peaceful summer at a family beach villa. The dynamic shifts when Juan’s father, Fernando, arrives unexpectedly with his much younger girlfriend, Mónica. This arrival triggers conflicts between father and son, as well as a complicated attraction between Juan and Mónica.
